My Name
Lately I've had this urge to revert back to the actual spelling of my name which, for those who don't know, is Melike not Melika.

Tincture Thimbles
My inspiration for making tincture thimbles was a way to make taking yucky tasting tinctures easier. I always had trouble stomaching some of the stronger tincture tastes to the point where I would avoid taking them even if I knew they would help me.
Weird Clicking Noises in Video Mode
I've recently been doing some more video work at concerts. While this was unnoticeable at the venue, it did get me playing around with video quite a bit and I remembered an issue that I did notice that the Mark ii has when recording video. There are strange sort of clicking sounds the camera makes throughout every video. You wouldn’t think something so minor would make such a noticeable sound, but if you usually employ ambient or low sound in your videos, you’ll definitely notice it.
Changing Drive Mode in Canon 5D Mark ii
Every single time I try to change the shooting mode, called the “drive mode” within the camera and guide, (I’m old-school… still not used to referring to mode as to whether your camera is on manual or not) I forget how to do it. I rarely ever use this mode, but it definitely has its uses in what are called continuous shooting and self-timed shooting.

Family of Man: Defining Normalcy
A species filled with potential can be diminished to the black and white, traditional ideal of life: men hunt/work, women breed, everyone is heterosexual, and brushes their teeth before the go to bed; The End. But this is far far from the end! Early man would barely recognize our lifestyle today, nor would someone who lived one hundred years ago. Our diversity of experience is important and should not be diminished when it does not fall into a stereotype.

Experiences in Photography
The class filed into our tiny school darkroom, arranging themselves graciously in terms of height so that all would be able to observe the procedure. Mr. Holmes explained the process of projecting a tiny image from a negative onto a light sensitive piece of paper.
