Nazar Evil Eye Jewelry Tray
Ceramic hand-painted nazar (evil eye) jewelry tray. In Turkish culture, the “nazar” image symbolizes the “evil eye”: the eye of jealousy which is thought to bring harm or misfortune. If one wears or displays the nazar, the eye repels that energy thereby dispelling any negative effects. This large oval nazar tray is great for storing your jewelry or other trinkets! Each tray is formed inside a mold, hand painted with 3 layers of blue, light blue, white, and black underglazes, fired in my kiln, glazed with a clear glossy glaze, and then fired a second and final time. It measures about 10” wide and about 1-1/4” tall.
